Tracy Barton was born in Cour D' Alen, Idaho. His parents then moved to the
farming community Grygla, Minnesota, where they farmed over 2700 acres for
over six years. Tracy and his family then moved to Redmond, Oregon where
he graduated high school with a chance for a tennis scholarship. Instead,
Tracy moved to Wilcox, Arizona where he punched cattle, started colts and
worked at the local cattle auction. He then moved to Millsap, Texas and
worked for Hall of Fame Trainer Greg Welch for four years.
Tracy now resides in Union Hall, Virginia and leases Diamond S Farms, a training facility with an 80 X 150 foot indoor arena, a 150-foot round pen and a 48-stall barn. Tracy and his wife Sue have a six-year old son, Travis and a daughter Emma Rae. When Tracy is not training horses, he enjoys fishing and playing tennis. He also enjoys racing Go-Carts. |
