Jarrell Jackson began his horse show experience in 4-H, pursuing showing and judging Projects. He continued his education at Louisiana University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Science specializing in Animal Husbandry. While in college, he interned for J.D. Blondin at Gambit Farms in Arcadia, Louisiana. He continued with him after graduating, running the training and showing operation as well as the breeding program. While working for J.D. he learned the importance of giving back to the programs that helped get you started. He is still very active and supportive in the youth, ride, and sponsorship programs on the local and national level. He now owns Bayou Bend Farms / Jarrell Jackson Show Horses in Calhoun Louisiana. He contributes his successes in the AQHA, APHA, and the PHBA to hard work and dedication to the end product, along with a very supportive family, great friends, and wonderful clients. |
