Don's knowledge of horses spans back to his youth. His father trained Tennessee Walking Horses and the family owned and operated Don Bell Stables in the heart of Walking Horse country. However Don's own interest in horses would lead him to a career with the modern stock horse. Before completing his BS degree at West Texas A&M, Don participated in the collegiate horse judging program under AQHA judge John Pipkin. He later coached the 1997 World Champion Jr. Collegiate judging team for Clarendon College. Don is currently an AQHA judge and is an active member of the Professional Horseman Association and he owns and operates Don Bell, Inc. in Whitesboro TX. There he trains and fits world class halter horses for the public in addition to producing art that promotes the modern Horseman. |
